One of our most useful survival mechanisms is fear. It is what tells us what we need to do in certain situations, which helps us to take care of ourselves and those around us. However, when fear starts to become out of proportion to the situation or object which causes fear, then it has started to change into a phobia.
Fears and phobias are very common, many people have hidden fears and phobias. Many clients will visibly cringe and become extremely anxious at even an associated word or spend their lives trying to avoid a situation or subject. There are many phobias, but some of the most common include flying, dentists, heights, spiders, clowns, blood, injections etc.

Solution Focused Hypnotherapy can help you conquer your fear in just four sessions using a modern, effective, and comfortable technique called relax, rewind and re-frame. In essence the method takes a traumatic memory and turns it into an ordinary memory. Rewind is a desensitisation technique. It will require you to re-run the phobia or experience in your mind, however, I will ask you to watch the experience rather than relive it. This creates dissociation, so you are viewing it without the negative experiences arising. I will then ask you to re-wind the scenario several times, speeding it up, slowing it down as if you have a remote control in your hands. The rewind process confuses the subconscious mind, scrambles it, so that it can no longer attach negative emotion to what it’s imagining. We then work together on the re-frame, and this is essentially what you want to do, such as fly on a plane relaxed, or relax in the dentist, speak publicly with confidence etc.
When you get to a point where your fear/phobia is controlling you and preventing you from living a full life then it may be time to do something.
